The Two "La Pietra" Fundraiser

March 1, 2010 - Noted Historian Jack Gilmore, at a grand Makiki Heights estate in Honolulu, treated EuroCinema guests to a lecture and slideshow presentation. La Pietra (what is now La Pietra School for Girls) was designed by Chicago architect, David Adler for the Dillingham family after their visit to Florence and the Italian villa of the same name. A discussion on the similarities, differences of these two notable structures was followed by delicious Florence inspired hors d'oeuvre and an array of European wines.
